A Quick Camp Note While He's Away
Two Hitters Deserve Attention, Even if in Mini-Post Fashion
Ok, I know I said that I probably wouldn’t have a post today — and, in truth, I didn’t have time to do all the normal slicing and dicing of video for a full post. But before rushing out to the park for some morning action, there were a couple of performances from yesterday’s action at Papago Park that felt like they deserved to be highlighted.
So, let’s consider this a mini-post, highlighting a couple of outfielders who are lighting up the early days of minor league camp — and who definitely lit up those watching the action yesterday! While much of my attention going into the day was on getting, at long last, my first in person looks at a healthy Carlos Gutierrez and Gavin Kilen (and Gutierrez, in particular, had a fine day as well), the show was really stolen by a couple of guys I’ve seen a lot of: Dakota Jordan on one field and Scott Bandura on the other. But they are finding new ways to impress — and those are the guys I want to talk about briefly here today.
