By now, you’ve probably already seen this week’s Free For All Mailbag. But after yesterday’s KROG episode came out, I got a late breaking question, and as it pertains to our regular Tuesday complex-level Minor Lines, perhaps a bonus mailbag answer is in order:

RogerForTheHall

This Giants really seemed pretty loaded for lotto tickets (KRog pod) in the DSL & ACL.

Who would be the top 10 or 20 prospects strictly from those rosters?

Well Roger (great name, by the way!), a Top 20 seems a little rich — if a complex level team has three or four future big league talents, it’s richly laden. But let’s see if we can sketch out a quick top 10 from the rookie leagues.

  1. Josuar Gonzalez, SS

  2. Jhonny Level, SS

  3. Argenis Cayama, RHP

    GAP

  4. Rayner Arias, OF

  5. Luis de la Torre, LHP

  6. Keyner Martinez, RHP

  7. Oliver Tejada, OF
    GAP

  8. Djean Macares, OF

  9. Yulian Barreto, SS

  10. Alberto Laroche, RHP

Without mulling things over too in depth, that’s probably my list, with players like Ricardo Estrada, Dario Reynoso, Santiago Camacho, Yohendry Sanchez, Jesus Alexander, Yosneiker Rivas, and Anthony Marquez jockeying around behind that group at the moment — but I wouldn’t consider any of that group to be in the same tier of lotto tickets as the ten at the top currently (though Estrada just moved up to San Jose, which gives him a chance to up his profile a bit — and deservedly so, given his age and success).

And, as it happened, plenty of these guys were in action and doing well yesterday, so let’s get to the minor Minor Lines.

HITTER of the DAY: Evan Estevez (DSLGB), 4 for 5, 2b, 4 R, 1 RBI
PITCHER of the DAY: Alberto Laroche (DSLGB)
, 4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K

Today’s goal is to get you excited about the last name on that list, our pitcher of the day. So, let’s hop to it.
