I’ll tell you what: you can learn a lot by reading box scores! Yesterday, we learned that the Giants had signed Andrew Knizner; today we learned that poor Ryan Reckley was sent back down to the complex after two months of ferocious struggles. Neither move seemed to come with a transaction prior to the game starting, but as Yogi Berra probably never said: you can observe a lot by just watching!

So, let’s do some watching and see what we can observe today. We’ll definitely observe one of the craziest innings in recent memory, as well as winning streaks, the makings of an all-catcher lineup, and more positive rehab news!

HITTER of the NIGHT: Scott Bandura (Eug), 4 for 6, 2 RBI, 2 SB
PITCHER of the NIGHT: Cale Lansville (SJ),
4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K

Hey, here’s something else you can observe: Victor Bericoto’s back! And swinging it, bay-bee!
