Bo Davidson Cannot Be Contained!

SF Giants Minor Lines, August 16-18, 2024

Well, that was a pretty good week! As I fly home this morning, I’ve now laid eyes (and video camera) on 13 of the Giants’ 17 draftees this year (plus two more UDFA), and, of the 180 players listed on one of the five domestic affiliate rosters — whether healthy, injured, or out of the season — I have seen 162 of them perform in a Giants’ uni and taken notes on them at least once! Those other 18 players are mostly made up of the minor league free agents populating Sacramento’s roster and players who have spent most or all of their careers injured (eg, Sam Bower, Chen-Hsun Lee, or Dariel Lopez, who has yet to make his organizational debut). Seems pretty good!

I also got to speak with seven different players this week (bringing my total of interviewed players currently in the organization up to 56), enjoyed plenty of batting practice sessions and PFPs, and, of course, witnessed a monumental two-dinger night from the top prospect in the system. I call that a productive business trip!

Now I am a little exhausted from it all and have to get up super early to catch a flight, but after watching players give their all to make the play, how can I do any less to bring you your Minor Lines?
