It sure would be nice if Bo Davidson got hot.

I feel like I wrote those words just days ago. Surveying all the losses the Richmond roster had suffered throughout the spring, and measuring the difference between where they were and where they had to get to to nail down a first half title, it was the obvious X factor to point to. Sure would be nice if Bo Davidson got hot.

Well, it does appear that Bo Davidson has gotten hot, and that has, indeed, helped put the Squirrels on the doorstep of a Golden Ticket. And they aren’t the only club whose Magic Number is ticking down, either. It’s a (mostly) everybody wins sort of morning.

HITTER of the NIGHT: Damian Bravo (SJ) 4 for 5, 2 HR, 2b, 3 R, 6 RBI
PITCHER of the NIGHT: John Michael Bertrand (Sac),
6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K

Time to take the round trip….which was a very popular tour last night!
