Big Mondays are getting smaller all the time! Today, we put another team’s season to bed, while San Jose is now on the post-season clock. Their year could be over by Thursday night….or it might continue into next week. Time will tell, but from here on out, every inning is meaningful. The only two clubs we’re certain to see in next week’s “Medium-Sized Monday” will be Richmond and Sacramento, and even Richmond’s year will be over at that point.

So, we’re getting into the dregs of the year. You’ll probably notice all the sediment in your mouth after you take a big draught of today’s post. Sorry about that…but it’s how you know the end is come.

That doesn’t mean the weekend’s action was without its charms, however. Can I interest you in the youngest player ever to hit a home run in Richmond history, perhaps? I thought so! Not to mention homers from just about every active member of the 2024 draft class. If you like dingers, you’ll like today’s Minor Lines!

HITTER of the WEEKEND: Jakob Christian (SJ) 4 for 10, HR (1), 3 2b, 2 BB, 3 R, 2 RBI
PITCHER of the WEEKEND: Cesar Perdomo (Eug),
5.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 8 K

Heck, it was even a great weekend off the field!

Can’t top that!
