It's going to be really interesting to see their strategy with this draft. So far, they've targeted college hitters who are traditionally the most reliable return on investment and who they've also gotten some slot money back from. Pitchers are a little harder to do that with. Obviously the big two are Leiter and Rocker who will both be gone in top 5. I'd keep an eye on Sam Bachman from little Ohio University. He's got some serious stuff and could well be available at that spot. The high school group has a ton of high velocity but that's not a phylum we've seen this Giants group go after. If they do, I wouldn't be shocked to see them go after Jackson Jobe who is posting elite spin rates on his breaking ball and is incredibly athletic. But who knows?
