One of the fun things about call up days is the pride that all of the minor league affiliates get to take in the moment. It’s a collective moment of pride that so many different parties get to enjoy. And not just the teams. Family members, teammates, coaches, trainers…so many different people touch the journey. Daniel Blair suggested the grip that Hayden Birdsong used to develop a big league worthy changeup. Every day these guys stand around the cage or in the field sharing ideas, tips, experience, and support. One journey, involving multitudes.
