Enough Aldrete! Carter Aldrete Goes Wild on Explosive Night!

Every picture tells a story, don’t it? whoo!

Somewhere in the dim recesses of the visitor’s dugout at Dunkin’ Park in Hartford, CT, starting pitcher Carson Seymour had to be thinking, “guys, do you mind? I’m working on a no hitter here, could you tone it down a little?” Carter Aldrete became the second player in Richmond franchise history to go deep three times amongst an absolute barrage of deep fly balls. And, yes indeed, poor Seymour patiently worked his way through five innings worth of no hitter while sitting down for about 20 minutes between each frame. It was insanity.

How historic was the outburst in Hartford last night? Let me put it this way, our top prospect hit his first full season home run last night, and I couldn’t in good conscience make it the headline for the day. It was just a crazy night of offense, so get ready to watch dingers until you’re sick of the sight of them!
