Saving some of the best for last

Now that I’m back home and kinda settled in, let’s empty out the notebooks from my final couple of days in camp. In some respects, the kids saved their best for last. On my final day in camp, I got to witness some of the best offensive performances in my week plus from top prospects Bryce Eldridge and Walker Martin, as well as my first live look at young sleeper prospect Alix Hernandez. The weekend also included some of the older prospect bats rounding into form, a tremendous outing from one of my favorite arms, and some slightly worrying news from a guy who’s had a little too much of that sort so far.

But, hey, let me overcome my parochial proclivities and open up today’s post with a tip of the proverbial cap to a terrifically athletic play from A’s infield prospect Casey Yamauchi. Check out this double play effort:
