Next week starts one of the most enjoyable — and I hope, most informative, for you the reader — times of the season. I’ll be ensconced daily at the minor league camp at Papago Park and bringing you my camp notes regularly, full (I hope) of video and first-hand information. As I’ll be publishing this month’s Free For All Mailbag on my travel day on Friday, that makes today something of an “in between” moment here at There R Giants.
As a result, today is a sort of hodge-podge post, catching up on some news that has lately filtered through, and dropping a few thoughts that have been bouncing around my brain. There’s a lot to see at Papago, but how do I organize my time when I’m there? I also want to take a look at the Giants’ Player Development staff for the year, which was only just released to the public this weekend.
It’s an omnibus edition as I pack my bags and empty my notebook. Here is where the fun starts! Amazing that it was just two years ago at this time that I watched this kid getting ready to head off to High-A!
