In the dim recesses of my mind, I recall a quote from one of my Classical Literature courses:
You have to wait until evening
to know how splendid the day has been
…which seems like Sophocles’ way of warning us not to over-react to small sample sizes. But still, our broken human brains like nothing better than over-reacting to each moment that passes. Which is all preamble for taking note that we’re now into our second month of the season, about 1/7th of the way through the schedule, and maybe now is a good time to start taking some temperatures on the 2022 season.
