I’m going to flip things around today and talk about last night’s ACL game first, and get to the Stats Review in a bit. After all, I flew all the way across the country to see this game and bring a bit of it to you fine folks. Just a bit though, because this nearly four-hour long affair was a great reminder of why it’s called “rookie ball.” It was a game that featured routine fly balls that landed near no one, pop ups that landed near everyone, ole’d grounders galore, nearly 20 walks, and a painful stretch for one young Cleveland pitcher who uncorked eight wild pitches (and honestly, I think the official scorekeeper might have missed a few), five of which brought home runners from 3b. It was Tin Cup levels of uncomfortable to watch!

But let’s get to a few observations I made, and a little bit of video that you can hopefully all see!
