Great discussion as always! I agree that this FA class is underwhelming. As for a trade with deGrom, I think a lot depends on where Tatsuya Imai signs. Regardless of what Greg Johnson recently stated, I do think the Giants are going to make a competitive offer to the young pitcher. We'll see where he inks his deal. Also, I do see a Max Scherzer reunion with his old friend Vitello. Does it make sense to have two older pitchers in the rotation? And regarding Eldridge trade talks... Until the Giants start drafting & developing more than one or two top tier prospects every 10-15 years, us fans are going to want to hold onto prospects like Eldridge. I just don't see them making a trade with him in the mix.
