A baseball night in America. It brings some good news, it brings some bad, as the fates of so many players all working towards the same goal intertwine, meet for a moment, go on separate ways. Cedric Mullins ends his rehab and heads back to the majors while John Means is just starting to find his way back. Kyle Harrison shook off the rust and delivered a performance that the Giants’ front office just might have been waiting for. Will it be his last in the minor leagues? That’s certainly a question that everybody (including, I would imagine, the assembled beat writers at tonight’s homestand opener) will be asking this weekend.
HITTER of the NIGHT: Sean Roby (Eug), 2 for 4, 2 HR (12), 2 R, 4 RBI
PITCHER of the NIGHT: Kyle Harrison (Sac), 3.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4K
Calculating how many games I have left to see this year, it hit me with full force how little season remains in front of us. But, oh, so many questions about what it all means remain to be answered. So let’s take a spin around the farm and see what there is to be seen.
Much is hidden from view, but sometimes this crazy game is as easy as 1-2-3!
