Dominoes are starting to fall and bodies are in motion! Richmond announced just before game time yesterday that Marco Luciano had been activated from the IL. And, as a delightful corresponding move, Tyler Fitzgerald received his well-deserved move on up to the West Coast. Nice job, Tyler! Fitz wasn’t the only one taking a cross-continental flight, either:
I’ve been saying that Erik Miller wasn’t long for this level, and that has proven to be the case. Along with Patrick Bailey and Chris Wright, that’s now four members of the Richmond Opening Day roster who have played their way to Triple A with a strong start — and noticeably, all have shown the ability to control the strike zone! Right-hander Spencer Bivens takes Miller’s place in the Squirrels’ bullpen.
With Vaun Brown making his season debut in San Jose this weekend, the top of the prospect list is starting to come into focus. And if all of that isn’t enough to get you excited this morning, how about this little more sign of things to come:
