As the mid-season All Star pause rolls on, a baseball-starved populace needs content! And what’s better content on a prospect related site than a little mid-season re-rank? Where did we go wrong? Where are adjustments needed? Who’s surging and who’s lagging? All tied up in a neat, linear bow!

I was hoping to have gotten a good look at the folks in Eugene before I rolled this out, of course, but that trip didn’t work out as planned, so I’ll just have to go on what I’ve seen from video and conversations I’ve had with industry folks for the west coast players.

Those guys will get folded in this winter, but the time is not right for that yet. Still, you can figure that Eldridge, Martin, and Whitman are all probably top 15 or so type players in this system?

We also have a few kids who have graduated from prospect status already, which is pretty great, since it means they’re providing steady value to the major league club. So don’t expect to see Casey Schmitt, Patrick Bailey, Tristan Beck, or Ryan Walker in this Top 30.
