Yes, indeed, Mr. Luciano was on the field in an official “counts on your B-Ref page” capacity for the first time this season. It didn’t go the way he wanted — which is understandable under the circumstances — but availability is the best ability, and for the first time in 2023, it was an ability that could be ascribed to the system’s top hitting prospect.

And, a fact that the headline might have alerted you to, this was not the ONLY first that took place in the system last night! No, there were more! Some were thrilling. One made me giggle a little! But all of them were steps along the journey. A journey we’ll be tagging along, starting …… now!
