In thinking about Bailey, I got to wondering how many unproductive drafts it would take for popular sentiment to turn against Zaidi and Harris. I’m not stating an opinion, just wondering how much time new regimes are given if/when their drafts turn out poorly.
Popular opinion doesn’t care about draft success, it responds to success of major league team (which is all the job should be judged on I would say). Draft success or failure can play a role in that (though it doesn’t have to) but if the major league team is doing well no one cares about the drafts. Just think back to the winter of 2014!
