Sean Roby Leading Historic HR Pace and Other Things We Learned About the Giants' Farm This Weekend
SF Giants Minor Lines, July 1-3, 2022
Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all have plans for a celebratory day of love, laughter, food, and baseball with family and friends!
It’s the fifth anniversary of a notorious incident in Eugene Emeralds’ history, when a 20-inning game forced the team to shoot off their planned fireworks after 1:00 in the morning — to copious complaints from the community. It’s also, of course, the biggest tentpole in the baseball season — a time when the season is really coming into its shape.
So today, I’m going to tweak my normal Monday format a bit. Instead of doing a full roundup of the weekend’s games, I’ll highlight some bigger picture “lessons learned” from the last three days. Don’t worry — I’ll still include the line scores and links to all the games from the weekend, so you can dig into the minutiae if you’d like, but today’s post will pull back and see if we can focus on larger trends.
Presenting: Three (or More!) Things We Learned From Each Full-Season Affiliate This Weekend!
