Before we get into today’s Minor Lines, heart-breaking news this morning as there are multiple reports that former Giants’ pitcher Reyes Moronta has passed away in a traffic accident. Just awful news to start the week. I’m sure all of our thoughts go out to his family. I’ll never forget the first time I saw — or heard — Moronta pitch in the Giants’ minor league camp:
It’s been a rough year for the Giants’ family. Rest in peace. The Reyes Moronta Experience will never be forgotten by those of us who were there to see it.
