After a Quick Breather, It's Time to Get Back to Work

Observe the verities, I always say! Life moves by too quickly, and if you don’t take the traditional moments to pause, reflect, breath, recover, and look at the bigger picture … why, getting a sense of meaning from experience can be as hard as trying to wrap your arms around a rushing river. In the baseball calendar, one of my favorite verities is the All-Star Break, which brings most play to a halt. And with that little Pause button pushed on the season, it’s always a great time to look back, to re-evaluate, and, of course, to look ahead! (Pause button or not, there is content to create, after all!)

We’ve looked back — at the first half All Stars in the Giants’ system. We’ve re-evaluated — my rankings of the Giants’ prospects. And now, let’s look forward — to the top 10 things I’m hoping to see over the next two-and-a-half months before the 2025 season leaves us sad and lonely, with nothing but a winter of staring out the window and waiting for spring.

As the guys get ready to take the field, here’s what I’m most hoping to see more of in the coming weeks.
