Last week we looked at a lot of positive outcomes for the young pitchers transitioning from the prospect world to big league life. In today’s post, we take a look at the hitters who are no longer prospects, where we’ll have a…..hmmm….let’s call it a more well-rounded range of outcomes. The past nine months for our group of young hitters cover the gamut from thrilling to mystifying, with stops along the way at Promising Gulch, Titillation Town, and Rage Road. There’s much to be encouraged by here today — but certainly some discouragement to be found along the way as well. And there are some things that simply defy explanation.
