We’re into the There R Giants Top 50. Over the winter months, I’ll write a post on each of the fifty players in my rankings, leading us back to the much-needed spring. Our list of previously covered players is getting a little long, so from here on out I’m moving the links for the full list down the bottom of the post.
It’s true! Sean Hjelle is tall. Really tall! At some point in the coming year, there is an excellent chance he’ll suit up for the San Francisco Giants and, in doing so, become the tallest pitcher in big league history.
But there’s more to Hjelle than just being The Tall Man™. There’s also the hope of a potential fill for the back end of the rotation in the not too distant future. The questions before us today are: how long (not tall) will we wait for that historic day and what should we expect to see in the years after it comes.
So let’s explore the career thus far of the 45th overall pick in the 2018 draft, the Giants very own, Very Tall Man.
