We’re into the There R Giants Top 50. Over the winter months, I’ll write a post on each of the fifty players in my rankings, leading us back to the much-needed spring. Our list of previously covered players is getting a little long, so from here on out I’m moving the links for the full list down the bottom of the post.
Now, here’s a sight for sore eyes!
The vague stirrings of baseball activities have begun and soon we’ll have a brand new (minor league) baseball season! Sadly, There R Giants’ expense account isn’t quite large enough to get me out to spring camp for the full month, but I should be out in about a week, thrilling to the sounds and sights.
Which all means, for one thing, that I’d better get going with this Top 50 exercise to successfully bring it to completion before the baseball calendar begins anew! Onwards and upwards!
The Giants 2021 draft has played a highly limited role in There R Giants Top 50 up to this point — so we haven’t had much of a chance to discuss the players you don’t yet know you’re going to grow to love in the months to come. That silence ends today! With today’s post on Matt Mikulski, I finally reach a player whose Giants’ prospect-hood lies almost entirely in the “Future” sections of his profile — but what a future it promises to be!
Let’s take a look at this scintillating lefty and see just what we might expect to come from the Giants’ 2nd round pick last year.
