With the end of the A-ball calendar, seems like we need to take up the lost thread of Stats Reviews, to put those San Jose and Eugene teams to rest, stats-wise. Let’s see where everybody on those teams finished up, in general, and in relation to their league.
Before we hop in to the numbers, however, this seems like a good place to report on one of my very favorite annual citations: Baseball America’s great Best Tools audit of every league in professional ball.

Once a year, at the end of the summer, BA conducts a survey of all the managers and team officials in every minor league, as well as the NL and AL, and, on a strict “one voter, one vote,” publish the list in their Best Tools issue. This is a great time to check in with how the org is measuring up against its peers, so I always look forward to it eagerly. Let’s check in on the 2025 edition and see which members of the Giants’ org popped in the minds of baseball people watching them:
