What Were the Major Storylines of the First Half?

Dazzling plot twists dominated the narrative!

Time is a construct and all narratives are false. Still, the All Star break — and its attendant boredom while waiting for games to resume — feels like the perfect time for retrospecting up a few false narratives looking back on what has come in search of a few dots to connect. If we have to delicately place some of those dots in the right spot so they connect up smoothly — so be it!

In other words, I’m in a mood for taking stock of big picture trends that have defined the first half of the season on the Giants’ farm — or at least the trends that have caught my fancy. I like narratives, dangit! Lies, damned lies and statistics — they’re all welcome here at There R Giants. So today we’re going to turn to the storylines that have demanded our attention over the first few months of 2023.
