It wasn’t a night for offense. Before a final-inning Sacramento rally (which provided the system with its lone win), the tallies across the farm last night stood thusly:

• 1 Run on 5 Hits

• 1 Run on 1 Hit

• 0 Runs on 8 Hits

• 2 Runs on 7 Hits (10 inn!)

• 1 Run on 5 Hits

Only four players in the system had more than one hit. No one had more than two. I’m seriously considering canceling the “hitter of the night.”

Oh, ok, I’ll hand one out — but I’m not fully convicted here! Let’s go with the lone HR for the evening.
