It was a wacky and adventurous day and night of baseball — a day of record-setting performances (for good or ill), some atypically bright weather, some very typically poor weather, and a continuation of recent surprising trends (for good or ill).
It was something of a Rorschach night — like this play from Tanner O’Tremba. Is this a good play, or a bad play? Or some of both? Depends on how you look at it, I suppose. The route wasn’t great (O’Tremba appeared to be having some trouble seeing balls in right field last night) but the last second improvisation was outstanding.
So, some of both. And the same might be said of the day as a whole — as is ever the case in the minors. Let’s take a gander.
