I appreciate you mentioning Pomares. I haven't been able to find any info on him anywhere, so thanks for verifying that there pretty much just ISN'T any info anywhere. I can't shake the memory of him 2 seasons ago hitting one of the two longest home runs I've ever seen, and the other was from Dave Kingman! Sad when a guy like that just--Poof!--disappears. Also, that last bit of info, regarding Heliot Ramos is tremendously exciting. Dare one hope? Could it finally be???
He had lower back pain in spring followed by a quad strain in extended. There’s really not much to say beyond that. Back pain is something that really shuts players down completely until it goes away and muscle strains are always thinks that take players down for 6-8 wks in best case scenarios. There really aren’t updates for those kind of things. Guys are just out of action until they’re cleared to start playing again. And it’s pretty obvious when a guy like Pomares comes back and plays a few complex games and then stops that things still just aren’t feeling right
Great mailbag, I learned quite a bit!
(also that catcher reaction in the 3rd Arias hit in that video is absolutely top-shelf!)
