Major league minimum is only for players in the majors and when guys are up and down they get major league minimum solely for prorated amount of days they are in the majors. 40-man players DO get paid a higher salary than they’re minor league teammates (it’s dependent on level and how many yrs they’ve been at a level) but it’s far far below major league minimum. I think that a 40 man player who is repeating Triple A (say Jaylin Davis) gets something in the range of $80-90k, or about 15-20% of major league minimum
