Maybe not a Giants-specific question, but do you think we could get periodic updates on guys like Frankie Tostado or Armani Smith who got plucked during the Rule 5 draft? Would be nice to know about their journey. Also, is there a mechanism for those players returning to the org besides free agency?

Hi Roger, I remember a report of some kind a year or two ago about pro scouts killing Patrick Bailey for his body language. Do you have any insight into what that was about or whether it's still a concern?

I’m curious about your perspective on the pitcher heavy 21 and 22 drafts, and the impact on the farm system at the lower end. Much was written at the time about the ability to move pitchers faster and use them as trade chips, but it does seem to have made the position players in rookie and low A less exciting than the past few years. Do you think the giants overestimated their position player depth? Does their seemingly preternatural ability to “fix” or develop pitchers come into play? Any other thoughts on the strategy?

Kyle Harrison's oft-mentioned problem is missing arm-side to batters. I haven't actually seen much of his outings - does he ever pitch inside to righties? Does he hit a lot of lefties? In short, is the arm-side command problem mostly when righties are batting?

Could we get an update on who is on injured lists or in extended spring?

What happened to Colton Welker? Connor Cannon?

What does a successful year look like for Manuel Mercedes? Is there any chance he could be this year’s Prelander Berroa?

How far can Carson Whisenhunt be pushed this year? Is he on an innings restriction this year after missing a college season?

How can Luis Matos regain his status as a top 100 prospect?

Thanks for doing these, Roger! I look forward to all the content you produce.

Can you explain what 'ABS' is and what the controversy might be about it's use this year?

Any concerns around Casey Schmit’s lack of power early in the season? 80% of his hits have been singles, which seems odd.

Wow is Randy Rodriguez struggling again. Is he entering into the DFA danger zone given the injury situation on the big league club? Having to

put international guys on the 40-man so early does them such a disservice.

In extended. He had some wrist inflammation this spring that kept him from swinging a bat for a bit

Obviously, performance is the biggest determining factor on whether a guy makes it to the big league club and gets embraced by the fanbase. Assuming that, are there any particular guys currently in the system you could identify that might one day become fan-favorites in San Francisco-- based off their personalities, work ethic, eccentricities, etc?

What are your thoughts on where Brett Auerbach and Simon Whiteman are in their development? I sort of pair them in my mind as underdog players each with their own interesting approach to contributing on the field.

(If you get a chance, it would be great if you got a chance to catch up with them and hear about how they think they're doing!)

One last question (promise) ...are the Giants committed to two teams in the ACL ? I can't think they have enough players to field two particularly with tge lack of position players drafted

I re-read Baggs great 2021 piece about Luis Matos and found myself wondering if he's still playing the drums?

also:

"Bad Bunny is shaking things up a bit in the agent world. He and certified agent William Arroyo working for Rimas have signed Santiago Espinal, Ronny Mauricio, Dodgers catching prospect Diego Cartaya, Giants SS prospect Marco Luciano and other young players. Fernando Tatis Jr. will use Rimas for marketing but is sticking with Dan Lozano for baseball."
