This week’s guest is the MVP of the 2022 Richmond Flying Squirrels and one of my favorite players to talk to, infielder Tyler Fitzgerald. Tyler talks about moving to Scottsdale full-time, off-season life at Papago Park, and how he’s working to improve his game heading into the season.
Just caught up with the podcast having seen Tyler's inclusion in ST invites. Thoroughly enjoyable interview and one if the most refreshingly honest and humble interviews I've heard. Definitely one to watch and I think was likened to Chris Taylor in a utility role? Thank you Roger
I really enjoyed getting to know Tyler Fitzgerald a bit. Interesting that he is buddies with Will Wilson and feels that their games are similar in many ways. On the Together We're Giants blog, we compare the two of them, debating which of them might reach MLB first. We also kicked around the possibility of Fitzgerald (and Wilson) playing some OF, so good to hear that he's open to that. Good interview. Thank you, Roger.
Great interview. It was really interesting listening to Tyler talk about what he's been working on this offseason. Looking fwd to seeing how he does this year.
What a thoroughly enjoyable interview! Now I’m an even bigger fan of his. Here’s hoping he has a fantastic season and opens some eyes in the front office.
It looks like he grew up outside Springfield, Illinois. I wonder if he was a Cardinals fan.
