Nice to hear an inside view of how many front offices are run, including the unfortunate sense of entitlement of the younger baseball executives especially when it comes down to who gets scouted and how players are developed. It's sad to hear that these baseball execs can't handle any sort of friction or disagreement when it comes to evaluating talent.

Great interview! I'll have to check out his podcast if for no other reason than spending a few minutes with that incredible Worcester accent. Really nice to hear his positive takes on some of the kids on the farm too (Choate, Ismael) and he's a Nick Ahmed fan as well.

Wow, what a great interview! Sounds like his stint with the Giants kind of wore him out and maybe even facilitated his retirement. Didn’t seem like he thought too highly of the Giants front office but maybe I’m projecting? He might have mentioned Farhan when he cut out for a few seconds so I’m not sure, but man, I kind of have a little more of a negative feeling about the front office after listening to him. Especially his opinions on the “file and trial” policy and honest communication with players. Was that a shot at Farhan? I’m curious what you thought of some of the things he said. Really enjoy all your in depth coverage Roger! Glad you’re heading to Arizona. Living the dream!

PS. When I’m in a Zoom meeting at work and time is running out, I tell everyone to log out and log back in using the same link and the clock restarts! Probably would not work for a podcast, though. Ha! Again, great stuff!

I loved the honest assessments of Luciano and Eldridge.
