Does anyone connected to the Flying Squirrels have a theory on why home runs are up there? Were the fences moved? Is the ball juiced? Or are Villar and Roby just that impressive of sluggers?

This is a topic that is very much discussed in every part of the stadium I've been in.. The fences WERE moved in following the 2019 season, and the 2021 team did set the club record in homers but the way it played last year and the way it's playing this year are significantly different. A lot of it I think is just that these players are really strong and really physical these days. Some of the balls that go out the opposite way that really don't look like they're gone when hit have been surprising. That doesn't inlcude Roby's opposite field shots -- when he connects you know they're gone, but on the last home stand he clearly hit one off the end of the bat and at a high launch angle that went to the fence. I'm not really sure what's up out there.

I hate the Gatorade shower thing (in the first posted video). I remember Hall of Fame NFL coach George Allen getting doused, immediately getting sick and dying 6 weeks later. The LATimes worked hard trying to disprove the urban legend that grew out of it, but still... From the LAT article in 1990, "Hall of Fame football coach George Allen...allegedly died because of a Gatorade shower he received earlier that year." Anyway, now back to reading this post :)
