It's kinda stunning to list out the 40 man decisions this year and this winter. Feels like it's almost more important to make some deals at the deadline with the 40 man in mind than the 26 man (ok...almost). Hard to see what the Giants do this week but as always #InFarhanITrust
If they do not trade Corry this week, despite his ranking on a few top 100 lists, he would be one I would not protect for the Rule V draft. There is no way he could help a major league team next year, all year, in any roll. It is possible that a terrible team is so enamored of him that they draft him and stash him at the back of the bullpen, but the odds of that seem low enough to risk it rather than letting him take up a 40 man spot for 2-3 years. If he make a big jump next year and makes the decision harder in 2022, great! But it not a hard call this year given his regression.
