I almost feel that guys with high draft slots that haven't produced--Wilson, Bailey, Hunter Bishop--are stealing spots in your top 30, but other than Ghordy Santos I don't know who else I would put on the list. Maybe Braden Bishop and Krizan, unless there is an age limit on who can be considered a prospect.

I like your list a lot. I can’t put Schmitt that high, but I understand your thinking. It’s funny - it used to be that I valued MLB-futures over raw talent; it would seem that you and I have swapped positions somewhat.😀

I look forward to your in-depth review this winter!

Might just be a temporary thing!

I have Luciano, Matos, Harrison, Bart, Ramos, Pomares, Bednar, Berroa, Bishop, & Fitzgerald in my top 10. I have McDonald and Corry at #29 & #30 - still holding out some hope. No Glowenke on my top 40, and I have Munguia in the 30s. I do have 2 relievers in my top 30: Dabovich at 11 and Castro at 27. I love Suarez, but I have him at 24.

Fun times for us prospect-watchers!! And those International drafts - wow! More, please! If we could just make better domestic draft decisions.....

Fitzgerald top 10! Wow! I thought I was pretty positive putting him in the 25 range!

Hi Roger, I love your writing, but noticed that you wrote that you are "convicted" about Matos' future. "Convinced" is probably more correct, or you could say that you "have conviction" that he will succeed. I'm sorry for copy editing.. and thank you for being such a great journalist and minor league advocate.

Your quite right grammatically but this is a phrase you’ll hear scouts use in this context so I tend to use it as well

Ah, I had no idea. Interesting.

I was looking over your preseason rankings on Pomares. Power didn't really appear to be his calling card before this year. Do you think the power he's shown this year is sustainable?

Oh yeah, definitely. When you're hitting the ball 110 mph at a good launch angle you can hit for power. And while he's hitting lousy pitching now, the things he's doing as part of his swing should carry with him. And I knew people who saw him in the AZL who thought his power was a lot better than it showed in games.

the next big question is going to be if Toribio can do it as well. Not fully certain there but it's certainly in there if he can get to it
