Every time I see a clip of Joey Bart mashing a pitch all i can think is why in the world do pitchers leave anything out where he can extend his arms? Is he doing better handling pitches on the inner part of the plate?
Everything I've seen him hit has been out away. Haven't seen a lot of pitchers go hard in -- in part because nobody's as good at doing that as major league pitchers. Minor league pitchers don't tend to challenge in all that much or all that effectively because they miss their spots too much so it's lots of away, away, away...
