As a longtime Giants fan (went to many games at Candlestick starting as a toddler in the early 70s), a long-ish resident of the Pacific Northwest (I moved to Oregon in 1994), and a HUGE supporter of both the "MLB PDX" movement and the Volcanoes... I will be devastated if MLB cuts ties with Salem-Keizer. And I think it's disgusting that the SF Giants themselves as well as the owners of the Volcanoes have no say in the affiliate's future. Awful. Just awful. Holding my breath waiting for the answer.

thanks for posting this interview. i've only been to the volcanoes stadium once, but it was a really enjoyable experience, and i'd love to have an excuse to do it again.

I've actually never been there -- which is they reason I'm always careful of giving opinions on the facility.
