Please explain to me the reasoning of releasing a kid like Brandon LawsonRHP at Double A Richmond last year who was the best overall starter with the most innings pitched which shows his durability, and one of the best GBR in the league and was good enough to be moved to triple A for the playoff run and championship at Sacramento. He has good pitch quality, avg velocity of 91-93 FB Average off speed and this release just didn’t make sense
Lawson seems to be one of those guys who performs well but never gets the glowing scouting reports unfortunately. Personally I wish they had not waived anybody and kept paying them through the summer but with fewer roster spots next year there was going to be a big reckoning at some point.
