Hello and welcome to the very first WEEKLY Free For All Mailbag (unless, of course, there aren’t enough questions submitted for next week, in which case, welcome to the bonus Part 2 of our MONTHLY Free For All Mailbag!).
When you asked yourself "Is there a plus hitter in the organization?" the first name that popped in my head was Wade Meckler. With the Giants stated wish of every player in the lineup being a power threat, is there a realistic path for any of the "slightly undersized" guys to stick on the big club?
Also, is there a difference between DFA'd and released?
Thank you for the answer on the Full Season designation! That's right at the level of detail I was hoping for; I have a spreadsheet to keep count on the roster limits/movements
Fantastic as usual my friend. I have been far afield and WiFi-less. Best part of being Out of Africa and stateside… a daily dose off Roger “MiLB Big Game Hunter” Munter! Here’s to hoping Arias become a third member of the minor league Giants that carry a big stick. Great stuff Rog!
Very much agree about the seeming lack of dangerous hitters in the system. With all the pitching they've drafted of late over wondered if eventually, provided we see good development from that group, if some don't ended up being involved in trades for hitters
Great stuff Roger! Your responses and explanations in the mailbag post is a great education for a MiLB novice like myself. Thanks🙂❤️⚾️
A belated thanks for the thoughtful response. The data quality disparity makes perfect sense.
Thanks so much for asking Luis Matos about his drumming, Roger! = )
Hopefully it won't be too much longer before Luis has a gang of drummers cheering him on from the grandstands at the ballpark at 24 Willie Mays Plaza.
I completely agree on Luciano and Brown - as of now, they are our best hope(s). We could really use a LHH threat to go along with them.

Maybe but I think it's a lot harder to pull off those kinds of deals than generally imagined
What departure of Beck are you referencing? I must have missed an injury/roster move?
His callup to SF which was simultaneously a departure from Sac
Gotcha. I read it as a departure from the org and got flustered!
